WE BROUGHT DA PARTY
YOU CAN'T MAKE ME
DOPE BOY ft PALLO da JIINT
ASIYAH was born in Houston Tx, the first of five brothers and sisters. At the young age of 5 years old, her father bought a piano and insisted that Asiyah start taking piano lessons. Her obsession with music was apparent to all around her. For hours she would write songs, play the piano, or write poetry. As she entered the teen years, Asiyah’s father invested in studio equipment and went on the road with her weekly to perform her original songs at shows and churches around Texas.
As she matured as a young woman, she developed a passion for writing love songs and songs about her life experiences. “Writing and singing has always been the perfect expression of who I am. I love to write about what’s real…because what’s real to me is real to someone else. When others listen to my music and really feel what I’m saying, it’s like I connect to them in a way I could never connect to another person. Sharing your heart and emotions with someone through song is the ultimate feeling.”
Asiyah graduated from college in December of 2012, a first generation graduate on her mother’s side. Beautiful, educated, and full of life, she relentlessly pursues success in her musical career through an alliance with Mohitz Intertainment. Through networking and exposure, she continues on her quest towards her one true love, the essence of song and its captivating bond.
On the release of her debut single “PURPLE DREAMS” in which definitely captivates the Essence of Texas, you will find yourself bobbing your head while being filled with that original woodgrain-drank-screwed up-popping trunk street feel music that Htown is known for but with an R&B twist where Asiyah's angelic voice, writings & harmony floats over the track like never heard before!! Htown has a new R&B Pop Princess with skills of rocking the piano, studio engineering, video editing, soulfully singing & a beauty that no man can deny. You will be drawn to her music each every time you hear her angelic voice expressing all the real topics & issues that a young college woman goes thru in life, relationships & spirituality. “ASIYAH”
